Will Writing – It’s all a matter of Trust

We believe that success in Will Writing all boils down to a matter of trust. The trust that our clients place in us to do a good job at a fair price. And the trust that our 30+ partners in financial services place in us when they ask us to visit their clients. So it is often useful, particularly at a time when our less scrupulous competitors are in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons, to reflect on what makes us different – and why people trust us.

  • We are an established family business and are not part of a franchise
  • We charge fixed fees on all our services, and these are made clear to the client right from the start
  • Our affiliate membership of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) means we have passed exams spefically in Will writing
  • Our membership of the Trust and Security Network means we have to be far more compliant than most of our industry; we also have disaster recovery plans in place so our clients would never be inconvenienced if something happened to us
  • Unlike many solicitors who have never received any formal training in Will writing, we are specialists
  • We do not do probate or administer estates, so we never hold client moneys
  • We always explain all the options available through estate planning and allow our clients to choose which one suits them best
  • We have never had a claim on our insurance
  • We have never had a Will ‘fail’ at Probate

Most of all, we rely almost totally on referrals and recommendations for the very survival of our business. We know that nobody would recommend us if we don’t ‘do the Write Thing’.

We are not officially regulated because our industry is not regulated. We support regulation 100% of the way, but regulation does not make crooks more honest, as we can see from the solicitors currently behind bars. There are bad apples in every barrel. Thankfully, they are few and far between.

Meet us. Get to know us. Judge us. Trust us.

I’ll definitely agree that trust plays a huge part in making a Will. Especially with the Panorama documentary back in August.
